Wearing: Yellow striped cotton pique knit pullover and jeans. No socks, black sneakers...Super causual today.
Listening to: Sade, 'Lovers Rock'
Got a little glimmer of hope this morning as one of my sources said they would work on getting me the money. Sure would be like God sent this from Heaven. I didn't know how was going to get out of this one. But now there's chance I'll make it. Just in the nick of time too. Everyone, when you're "putting on your make up, Say a little prayer for me." I sure could use this.
Over the weekend at Dale's party I was sure proud of the way I handled the dope and liquor scenes. I just told the drinkers that I didn't drink anymore...They nodded in solidarity. When the pot was brought out, not only did I decline, I unobtrusively left the room. I just can't be around that stuff.
Seems like the only time I get to blog is when I'm at the Library. It'll have to do for the time being.
Wearing: Dark blue cotton mock turtle, on sale at Kohl's for $7.20 from $20.00. Also bought a dark green one. Pants are cotton khaki, black socks and brown lace ups.
Listening to: Lite Rock FM (so bland that I wanna throw up)!
I've never been in this kind of desperate finanacial situation. Checks are bouncing all over town and I've no way to generate any dollars. All my sources have dried up. My scamming has done me in this time. I'm going to be down about $1500 before this is all over with. All because of illegal gambling at the convenience store...of course most of the checks are with this same convenience store, so one hand kind of washes the other. They are gonna be pissed though, when the checks come back. I have just a few days to pay my fee for Blogger Pro which means I might lose my images temporarily.
It's really strange how Adderall causes me to become drowsey. I take enough to cause a racehorse to win the Derby yet I can't hold my eyes open.
The weather is horrible all up and down the East Coast/Mid South/Ohio Valley. A cold rain down here in Georgia, farther north it turns to ice then snow. Winter has had it's grip on the East for the past three months. We've thankful for the past nine months of rain, though. Drought has ended for the first time since 1998.
Can't seem to come up with anything clever right now. Probably because I'm preoccupied with this money thing. Let's see now...Convenience Store has about 8 checks, one to CVS...not too worried about that one...but one to Quick Trip. Sure would like to catch that before it hits. But that's all. The conveneince store checks will be a big hassle. They could probably have me arrested. But then I would rat on them for running an illegal gambling operation and they know it! No, the little Pakistani guy will raise a big hissie fit and they will make a big deal about not ever taking my checks again. Well that's fine with me. That will take away that temptation. It'll be a big hassle because me and the Pakistani guy are pretty close and he has a real temper. Well, they should'a known betta'. I'll pay it off eventually...somehow. And then there's all the service charges at the bank...well they can just wait too. The people at the bank are absolute jerks. They treat me like crap. I wish they would just close my account and get it over with.

Settling down here at the library, Wearing: Yellow Stripe Tommy Hilfiger button down (I swear I got on extraordinary sale for $14.99) and the oft mentioned faded olive cotton slacks.
Listening to: Mind tapes of the weekend jam party in South Carolina.
Yes, I was on the radio! At about 9:30 on Saturday morning on WUSC, Dale played my song "Columbia," a cute ditty celebrating the mellow citizenry of my home town, Columbia, SC (home of course of WUSC). I was with Jo Baker, Health Care Professional extraordinair, Site Manager for drug trials for AmGen Corp at her house in Columbia. It was very exciting. I have heard the cut at least a hundred times, but hearing it on the air was special! Thanks, Dale. Several people at Dale's party came up and said they had heard it that morning. That made me feel great.
The party on Saturday and Sunday was great, about 30-40 people came and went and then came back again. Guitars, Mandolins, Keyboard, even a stand up bass. Music was non stop from Saturday afternoon till Sunday eve. Food was plentiful and delicious. Kids and dogs played and barked and everyone had a grand time. I took lots of pictures and will post them here soon.
