I found my way down to the Alamo on Sunday morning. Also the Riverwalk. Took some photos. Sunday monring is a good time to go downtown. Not a lot of people. Parking is $5-$10 so I took a chance and parked on the street. It worked out ok, no ticket. Now I know how to get to the attractions if I have guests.Come on Betsy, I'm all ready for you.
BTW: Bexar County (that's most of San Antonio) is pronounced "Bear" county, not the way is looks.
We had a pretty bad hail storm on Thursday night, I took my car into Geico claims, they estimate $2400 worth of damage. I'm bummed.
Most mornings here are comfortable, cloudy and a bit humid. it's still ok till noon. Then the clouds burn off and it gets hot very fast. I used to hate the heat, I dreaded May through September. Now I accept it. Each day is different, I keep the air conditioning cranked and wear a sweater to bed. Electricity is cheap here. I'm paying about 1/3 what I paid in Georgia. Of course its a small apartment but still it's a real joy to afford to keep it at 68 degrees at night.
