Let's try Deep River.wav again. There, I hope that works. These .wav files have been a real pain!
Wearing: Classic Navy socks, Black shoes, Grey sateen trousers, Maize cotton oxford buttondown.
Yesterday I went to Rich's to get my red faced Fossil fixed (the pin had come off where the band joins the watch). Well they were no help at all there...rude even. So I asked at Hurzeburg Diamonds and they sent me to Tourneau's. The least expensive watch in the place was $750! We're talking Cartier diamond watches and Movado diamond face. There was a jeweler in the back of the store, a young woman, tastefully attired in white buttondown and navy trousers. She was courteous and I waited till she finished the piece she was working on. She asked what she could do for me and I showed her the Fossil (I mean it cost my wife $65 a year ago).
She went right to work on it: Measuring, choosing a pin from an array of hundreds, delicately hammering away to get the pin in place. She had quite a hard time making it fit and worked a good 15 minutes using special die-cut molds to hold the watch while she tapped away. Finally when she was all finished I said, "This is great! How much do I owe you?" She said "No charge, Sir. Glad I could fix it." This is service way above and beyond! On my way out I found the manager (everyone in the store was French) and told him what a great pleasure it was to visit there and I would surely recommend his store to all my friends. That includes you, Bloggers! Don't be intimidated by the rich surroundings and French accents. These people are very customer oriented and provide extra special service. Hat's off to Tournau's.
Bloggers, Bloggers, Bloggers! Just when you thought it was safe to forget about me.....I'm baaaack! Had a lovely vacation in Florida, but the wife's car threw a rod in the middle of redneck FL hell! We were finally rescued by my brother-in-law who drove down and drove us back. Said car is still sitting in Crestview, FL, no hopes of ever runnng again. Don't know what we're gonna' do about it.
Did a bit of negotiating with the IRS, got that settled, big deal off our backs!
And, oh BTW, was fired from the library I'm afraid that these folks need to open their eyes to reality, not just My Reality!
So Thank you Caitlin, Thank you Allison, Thank you Jimmy, Thank you Wendy! Thanks to all you guys!
