Wearing: Olive green dress slacks, mustard yellow short sleeve buttondown from Khol's for less than $7.00.
Listening to: Fingerstyle guitarist Duck Baker on an album I fondly call "Guitar Pickers From Hell."
Heading to DC on the 12th for a Records Management Conference given by the National Archives. Should be fun to get out of town.
The wife is paying down one of my most stupid debts, my overdrafts at the bank. So I go to the bank to deposit her check for a grand into my account, thinking I'll have a hundred and a half left over. The teller says that the account is closed and that I'll have to bring the exact amount in cash. They won't accept my wife's check. Fine...they can wait a few more weeks or more till I pay them their money. I'll make them call me, send me certified letters and then at the last minute, I'll pay.
This bank has ripped me off for $2500.00 in service charges. And their tellers aren't even cute. That's the only reason to go to a bank, flirt with the tellers. That's going to be my next criterion for a bank: Pretty, dressed-up tellers. Bank tellers are some of the least paid people on the planet and yet they are required to dress-up like Barbie Dolls...everyday! And if they don't balance they have to stay until they find the mistake. I have nothing against tellers, especially the pretty ones with bubbly personalities. But the tellers at this bank were just the opposite. And male tellers, well that's no good at all. What am I supposed to look at, some guy counting out my money?! No thanks.
Few people know that The World's Dullest Blog is really only part of a larger website which is devoted to Christian issues. There is a wealth of stuff there. The cartoons are great!
Wearing: Forrest green golf shirt with thin yellow and white horizontal stripes, and jeans.
Well I deleted the post about the AC. I hate it when people rant on their blog! If you are going to rant and rave, at least make it sarcastic and funny. Mine was neither.
Location: Monday night at the college library, pretty young girls everywhere. I prefer older and more feminine:
I want a woman
Who knows what a real woman knows
Who wears short dresses,
perfume,
And lacy underclothes
Magic is on the loose, I tell you. Spirits are calling me, blown by the Astral Wind. Something is close at hand, some event, happening to me. I recognize situations put here to teach me. I have passed a test and am ready to move on to another task. I am whirling along a spiral a level above where I used to be. I am witness to the transition of others, some through death and beyond. Some are finally forgiven and are let go of hates icy grasp, their hearts beating once more. Some slip from our presence and are missed.
