I'm hard at work. I'm preparing to leave in a month for the wacky world of early retirement, so I have to clear off a lot of old projects here at the Agency. For one, I need to compile a procedures manual. Well, I actually already have one, but noone has seen it, this is my big project for the next week and it' s already done! So I guess I'll just do some blogging, surf the net and rest assured that when I turn this notebook in, there will be hossanah's and back-pats gallore.

So now Dale is thinking about joining my Great American Breakfast Tour in September. We're talking about a monumental trip cross country taking in the the breadth and depth of this USA, stopping at every pancake joint between here and California! With my dog Sniff. Sniff who is not very sociable to humans or other dogs. Sniff who has already nipped at Dale last spring when he came by to visit. Sniff who has never ridden more than an hour in a car and is about to spend many days in the back seat of a Hyundai. This is going to be the cross country trip from hell.
Of course we have drugs to help the situation. I can give the Sniff lorazapam to knock her out if she becomes bothersome. Dale is liable to have his own pharmacy of pain killers. Of course I will have a fresh prescription for Adderall so driving won't be a problem. I have to make sure, however that Dale does not end up taking the Adderall...he has a slight heart condition and 30 mg of this amphetamine might drop him dead! I would have a hard time explaining THAT to the authorities! But all in all it should be a fun trip. The company will be first rate, we'll have loads of cash and I'm sure that if we feed the Sniff enough double cheesburgers along the way, she too will warm to the occaision.
And of course you will be along for the ride. I'll be blogging the whole way, so welcome aboard!
