Wearing: Dark wine buttondown, no tie, dark gray slacks.
Listening to:A Course in Miracles (audio book version) from The Inner Peace Foundation. If you haven't studied ACIM and you are serious Seeker, then it should be your next move. I started about 2 years ago with the Workbook and didn't understand it at all. It sounded kind of like a mix between Plato and Urantia. Then a friend gave me the complete Text and Workbook on audio tape (quite a gift) I listened to the first 7 tapes (the Text this time) and still didn't understand it. Then, recently I popped in No. 8 and it all fell together. I'm a believer. If you are lost in a world of painful, constantly shifting emotions and yet still believe that out there somewhere there is someone, something who is guiding you, pulling for you to make it, then maybe you are ready for A Course in Miracles. Just go to Barnes & Noble, sit down in the Cafe with The Course and a Grande Coffee of the Day and see if you're in there. Make it a date with Yourself to spend an hour at B&N every day and do the Course. You'll never be the same. I am friends with a married couple who did the Course numerous times. They are so etherial that they are almost pure light.
Financial crisis easing a bit, Taylor still intact.
Here's the rest of the Atlantic City Gambling story: I discovered that the Casinos really would give you cash on your Visa (remember this is pre ATM), at which time I forgot all about the car and ended up having a ball on borrowed money. Next day I got the car with cash and drove home. End of story. Bill Bennett would be proud.

Who knows where these figments come from. Out of nowhere is what they say. This one was a doosey. No sense of humor, no imagination, not one to spend time with "this kind of foolishness." He's been dispatched to the Gulag of Lost Souls and I'm back, fresh from new adventures where imagination is king. I've been wearing a number of ensambles! Yesterday: Gray slacks with yellow and light blue tattersall check, red/gray/yellow patterned tie. Today: Cotton Khaki's and yellow polo. I had the same color combo on as our travel coordinator. We were both nattaly attired in yellow and cream.
Tornado's all over the place here today. We all had to jam into our downstairs lobby because of a tornado touchdown close by. The local weather people are all in heat about the severe weather. "Atlanta, take cover!" They've been saying that over and over. Personally, I love the rain and even the lightning and thunder. You can keep your wind shears and rotating Supercells and your Bow Echos. But I relish a hard rain when I'm in bed at night.
Finances turned sour over the past few days. I've managed to get into quite a little jam, but I am trying hard to make the same mistakes I made a month ago vis-a-vis the Taylor. Not this one, Not this time. Thanks to Roo and Allison who made me feel special!

Seriously, this personality thinks blogging is a waste of time. And typing on the keyboard hurts it's fingers.
